    Convertly Apps Privacy Policy

    Last updated: 9/24/2026

    This policy applies to every app and extension published under the Convertly brand on Google Play (Android), the App Store (iPhone and iPad) and the Chrome Web Store, for example ImageSwitch. It complements the website's privacy policy, which covers only the convertlypicture.com website.

    Publisher

    Convertly apps are published by Pixelforma — SIREN 915 328 710, RCS Évry — 5 Résidence du Parc Elisabeth, 91000 Évry-Courcouronnes, France.

    Your files

    The images and files you process with a Convertly app are processed directly on your device. They are never sent to our servers, copied, or kept by us. The resulting files are saved or shared only to the location you choose.

    If a future app were ever to send files to a server to work, this would be clearly stated in the app and in this policy before any use.

    Data stored on your device

    Apps keep the following on your device: your settings (language, preferences), your processing history (name, date, formats, sizes and a small thumbnail) and your daily processing count. This data stays on your device. You can clear your history from the app settings; everything is deleted on uninstall.

    Convertly account

    Creating an account is optional. The same account works across every Convertly app. If you create one, we process:

    • your name and email address;
    • your password, stored only in encrypted form (never in plain text);
    • your plan (Free or Premium) and, where applicable, the end date and origin of your subscription;
    • the number of processing operations performed per day and per app, to enforce the free plan limits.

    This data is necessary for the account to work (legal basis: performing the service you requested). It is hosted by Supabase, on servers located in the European Union (Paris, France). Service emails (confirmation code, password reset) are sent through [EMAIL DELIVERY PROVIDER].

    You can delete your account at any time from the "Account" tab in the app: the associated data is then erased.

    Use without an account

    Without an account, the free plan limits the number of processing operations per day. To enforce this limit, we compute an encrypted, irreversible fingerprint of your IP address, associated with your daily processing count. Your IP address is never stored in plain text. These counters are automatically deleted after 7 days (legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the free plan).

    Premium subscription

    Subscription payments are processed by Google Play (Android), Apple (iPhone and iPad) or Stripe (Chrome extension), depending on where you subscribe. We never receive your payment card details: we only receive your subscription status (active, renewal or end date). Managing subscriptions across these platforms may rely on a technical provider ([RevenueCat], where applicable), which only receives your account identifier and subscription status.

    Advertising (Android and iPhone apps, free plan)

    The free plan on Android and iPhone apps shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and technical information to show ads and measure their performance.

    • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, your consent is requested before any personalized advertising (Google consent form). Without consent, non-personalized ads may still be shown.
    • On iPhone, Apple also asks whether you allow tracking.
    • You can change these choices at any time in your device settings.

    Chrome extensions show no advertising at all. Premium members see no ads.

    Recipients and transfers

    Your data is shared with Pixelforma and, solely for the needs of the service, with the technical providers listed above. We do not sell your data. Some providers (Google, Apple, Stripe) may process data outside the European Union; these transfers are covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).

    Retention periods

    • Account data: for as long as the account exists; deleted when the account is deleted.
    • Account processing counters: for the lifetime of the account.
    • No-account user counters: 7 days.
    • Data stored on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the app.

    Your rights

    In accordance with the GDPR, you can access, rectify, or erase your data, object to its processing, restrict its processing or request its portability, by writing to convertlyconversion@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL: www.cnil.fr

    Children

    Convertly apps are not specifically directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their data.

    Changes

    This policy may be updated, in particular when a new app or feature is added. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page.
